Danka Napiorkowska qualified in Ceramics at the Central School of Art before a postgraduate in Printmaking at Chelsea College of Art in the late 1960’s. Together with Roger Michell she established and ran ‘Lustre Pottery’ in North Yorks before relocating to Cornwall in 1982.
Danka designs and produces decorative tiling. Large tile murals for shops and commercial properties as well as smaller tile panels for kitchens and bathrooms.
Recently she has introduced a range of decorated Bone China, large and small pieces (jugs and mugs to fish pie dishes, big bowls and platters) Decoration is mostly blue/white and fish/shellfish, some flowers.
Danka has exhibited widely in both the UK and abroad, her work can be found in many major collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
