CCGG do not keep non-member information on our database. Where we acquire such information through emails sent to us, through people visiting our website, or through our Facebook page or other social media sites, or any other communication method, we use this information only to respond to the specific enquiries or messages, after which it is deleted. Accordingly, we do not send emails about our meetings and activities to non-members. Please be aware that our Facebook page and any other social media sites we may use are open page sites and we are not responsible for any personal information that is placed there by visitors, nor are we responsible for how that information is used by other visitors to those sites. Where we do collect and process personal information for non-members we do so only on a temporary basis and solely for the purpose of making a response, and our legal basis for doing so is that of Consent and Legitimate Interest as defined by GDPR.
Members’ Data and Annual Membership Fee
Our members pay an annual membership fee which is payable by the 1st October each year. Once this fee has been received members details are placed, or updated, on our database so that we can send information to our members about our activities and meetings. We occasionally pass on to our members information about activities, products, competitions etc. sent to us by people and organisations outside of our own group members, where we deem this to be relevant and of interest to our membership.
Each member is contacted when the membership is about to expire. If the annual membership fee is not paid by 31st October in any year the members details will be removed from our website and the membership will lapse immediately so that no further updates or information will be received from us. Where the membership lapses, we will hold the ex-members information for a further period of twelve months (unless we are informed in writing to the contrary that it is to be deleted immediately) to give additional time for late renewal. After this 12 month period all information is permanently deleted. The lawful basis for collecting and using this information in this way is one of Consent, Contract and Legitimate Interest as described in the GDPR.
Opting in to receive information by email
Members are asked to tick a box on the membership application or renewal form to indicate that they are willing to receive relevant information, opportunities & events from CCGG. Members may choose to unsubscribe at any time by emailing their request to email@example.com
What we collect
