I work with a smooth, white earthenware clay, producing a range of functional and brightly decorated domestic ware. Most of my work is thrown on the potter's wheel, then decorated with coloured slipsand other pigments, fired in an electric kiln to 1120 degrees C.
I no longer do many fairs and exhibitions but my work is available from several galleries in Cornwall including through the CCA at Trelissick Gardens, near Truro and Trelowarren on the Lizard. I am also a member of the Cornwall Craft Association and the Westcountry Potters Association. I have a studio on my smallholding, visitors are most welcome but please telephone to arrange a convenient moment. In 2002 we planted a woodland and in 2015 I started to keep bees following the “Balanced Bee Keeping” system. Both events have coloured my pottery decoration.
