Cornwall Ceramics and Glass Group are individual makers within the contemporary Cornish art scene. We came together in 2004 with the aim of promoting and encouraging all those passionate about and working in ceramics, glass or sculpture.  Our busy programme of events, including masterclasses, studio visits and workshop demonstrations, run throughout the year, helping the creative juices flow for all with an enthusiasm for clay and glass.

 

The Cornwall Ceramics and Glass Group formally came into existence on 8th May 2004.

 

AIMS.

To raise the profile of ceramics and glass in Cornwall through events and activities.

To promote high standards in ceramics and glass.

To create educational and social opportunities for members.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Membership shall be open to anyone with an interest in ceramics and glass.

Full membership, £20

Family membership, £30

OAP and students, £15

Subscription amount to be agreed at the AGM.

Members will be entitled to display work on a CC&GG website and submit work for exhibitions. Work exhibited at exhibitions, festivals and galleries may be selected by a group of members and/or gallery owners.

 

COMMITTEE.

Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Membership Secretary, Treasurer, Exhibitions Co-Ordinators, Marketing and Promotion Co-Ordinator.

 

Posts will be held for three years. The committee is responsible for the organisation of the Group and is empowered to form sub-committees for special events and may delegate powers to co-opted members. The Committee will pass resolutions by simple majority vote.

 

Quorum will be six members. The committee will meet for a minimum of three times per annum in addition to the AGM in October. Items for agenda should be received by the Secretary at least one week before committee meetings.

 

DISSOLUTION.

On dissolution of the Group all outstanding debts are to be paid and assets will be distributed to the Craft Potters Charitable Trust.
