For me, clay is and has always been an exciting medium to use. It has endless, interesting qualities and offers every opportunity to be creative. I work with ideas which develop and grow and constantly move on but all the ideas have their roots in Cornwall.

 

From the rugged coastline/seascape, ancient history, archeology, mining and fishing industries but more recently, beaches and harbours.

 

Each piece is unique. I much prefer matt or natural surfaces and therefore rarely use glaze.
